Duoer's Story
Duoer Miao holds a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts (Musical Theatre) and brings extensive experience in both stage performance and music education. She has performed in numerous musicals, operas, and plays in the United States, including Mamma Mia!, Hair, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Macbeth, taking on both leading and featured roles. Her expertise extends beyond performance to backstage production, having worked in props, costumes, and publicity departments for theatre productions.
As an educator, Duoer has taught voice, piano, musical theatre performance, and ukulele at performing arts centers in the San Francisco Bay Area and in China. She has directed and coached students in large-scale musical theatre productions and seasonal concerts, and is fully capable of teaching in English, holding an IELTS score of 6.0 and communicating fluently with native speakers.
She is an active member of multiple professional music and theatre associations and has received numerous national performing arts awards and university scholarships. Dedicated to community engagement, she has participated in many volunteer performances for senior centers and cultural events. Combining international stage experience with a deep passion for education, she is committed to inspiring the next generation of performers.
